This meeting brought together women of different generations, ranging in age from 17 to 87, and took place in a warm, open, and stimulating atmosphere. Through conversation and the exchange of experiences, the participants learned about important topics such as women's rights, interview methodology, and the ethics and aesthetics of filming, but above all, they all had the opportunity to build mutual understanding and trust.
A special segment of the program was the screening of the documentary film "Women and Patriarchy: Stories from Stara Planina", which was followed by a substantive discussion and informal socializing. Additional value to the event was provided by the guests who participated in the film itself, fostering strong intergenerational dialogue and connecting personal experiences with young people's contemporary perspectives.
We want to thank the schools, all participants, and partners for their support, as well as the Ecumenical Initiative of Women from Omiš, who financially support the realization of this initiative.
Work with students and Staroplanina women continues, and soon new video content will be available to the public via social networks and local channels, bringing authentic stories about the lives of women in Stara planina and connecting generations through their experiences.
